    A special tease in the lead up to the release of SONGS FOR BLEEDING HEARTS.

    These drawings were originally going to be a sheet of temporary tattoos, but the cost of having them made was prohibitive. I ended up making temp tattoos out of my 'Lonely' single artwork as it was more cost effective getting just one design made. (I've been selling those at gigs - they'll be online soon..they're super cute).

    These images have been brewing in my mind though, and I had to do something with them. So what better way than to make them available for you to colour in. You may find some of the symbols in the album artwork.

Written and produced by Christine Jane, recorded by Josh Schuberth (Josh Pyke, Lenka, Shane Nicholson, Fanny Lumsden), mixed by Joel Woolf (Queen Porter Stomp, Munro Melano, Stephen Chikazaza) and mastered by the inimitable Grammy award winning William Bowden, this quirky track is a philosophical look at life between lovers.

As her voice lilts over the bouncy bassline and twangy slide guitar you can’t help but feel bemused and uplifted by this very different sound from Christine Jane, who described her previous record HEADMILES as ‘cinematic blues’.

Written on a tiny guitar (called a guitalelele) and using eclipse mints and hands scratching demin jeans for percussion, Christine Jane reinvents herself in the strange space betwixt trysts on ‘Ruby Shoes’.
